*we interrupt your usual blog-reading activity with an important announcement to make…

Oh Blimey is an official community festival partner of Bristol Tech Festival.

The 5-day event is the UK’s Largest Regional Tech Festival and brings together some bloomin’ awesome people in the world of tech and the wider ecosystem.

As part of this, we’re running an in-person event on Wednesday 9th Oct at Bristol’s engine shed.

Product Market Fit - Real Lessons from Real Mistakes (No Unicorns Required)

Note, this event has now finished. But check back to see when we’ll be running it again.

What’s the session about?

Let’s face it, everyone’s got an opinion on what product market fit is. And if you work in a startup with investors, it’s likely you’ve been told that’s what you have to aim for.

But what is it? What does it feel like? And how do you actually turn it into something you can translate into your sales, product and marketing?

Join Lucy Heskins in this 1 hour session where she’ll be talking through what product market fit is, the steps to validate your product, and how to collect and act on customer feedback.

And, because we’re a fan of authenticity here at Oh Blimey, there’ll be plenty of case studies and mistakes made along the way.

Who is it for?

It’s part marketing, part product, part growth... but mainly, it’s about how to embrace the chaos. If you have just joined as the marketer or are a founder looking to understand how to grow faster, you may appreciate this session.

Another way to look at it is: this session is designed for the Get Stuff Done person who is looking to learn:

  • What product market fit looks like (and how to realign your expectations)

  • Practical ways to see if your business has reached it

  • How to implement product and marketing steps to optimise growth

Live on the other side of the world, and can’t make it? No worries. Learn a little more about product market fit or keep an eye out for the next startup accelerator I’m part of.
